I used to think of myself, as many spiritual people do, as a seeker. I stopped when I came across the idea that by thinking of yourself as a seeker you are almost creating a situation where you forever remain a seeker. I mean, what is the next stage beyond being a seeker? Full on enlightenment, levitating somewhere in the Himalayas? It seemed doubtful for me, even on my best day. That led to the thought, “But if all I ever am is a seeker - what’s the point?” (I realize this might be quite revealing about my style of reasoning, or lack thereof.) I was reminded of this as I prepared this Dear Heart letter to pass along to you. I let the wisdom behind the Dear Heart letters guide me on what to post and when, and as they do I remain focused on you. Wanting, and hoping, to offer something that throws you a line when you need it most, or clears your thinking as surely as sunlight erases fog. But occasionally, like now, I realize just how much I am Student #1 of this wisdom, and always will be. This letter is so succinctly the answer to my dilemma around being a ‘seeker’ - and I missed it entirely. Maybe this letter wasn’t for you, after all. Maybe it is for me. But I am sharing it with you anyway, trusting that we are in this together. Trusting that we are seeking and stumbling, each catching the other, each taking turns shining the light. xo
Truth is always – eternally – right here, where you left it.
There is no seeking.
You need not seek for your Source, or your true Self.
It is eternal, forever there. Forever here.
It is you who have wandered. And then in your wandering, you believe – mistakenly – that you must wander farther still to return home, to return to your true Self.
This is not true.
Truth is always – eternally – right here, where you left it.
You left Truth. Truth did not leave you.
Come back to this moment. Come back to You.
Stop believing that anything you truly seek could be separate from you. You have never left your Source. It is impossible. You only believe that you have become separated.
Can a star be separate from the sky?
A sun beam separate from the sun?
Stop dreaming.
Wake to the happy realization that you are Home. Wake to the relief that you never left.
Close your eyes.
Place your hand gently on your heart.
Take three soft, slow breaths.
Now, silently ask within:
What if I trusted that everything I truly long for is already here, already within?
Write down whatever answer comes. Don’t reach or push. Simply open and receive.
Allow your pen to become the voice of your inner knowing. Let your words guide you home.
You are not lost. You are waking up, shaking off a dream, and remembering the way back to what has always been yours.
Keep coming home ~

That's the best thing isn't it? We assume we've gone farther away from the truth, moved away from it or are seeking it...but it's that just sometimes we forget?
And we have to forget to remember...time and time again...with even more deeper surrender and trust no?
It's awe inspiring to be honest! Thanks for this Lori!

I'm keeping that one, thank you : )
